Shot low, shot late, shot from the water. Bobby Kalman photographs the Lowcountry the way it actually feels — hazy, humid, and a little too gold to be real.
The harbor doesn't sit still, so neither does this one. Boats easing into their slips, the bridge holding the skyline together, the last light doing its thing over the water — Charleston at the hour it looks best.
No filter chases this color. It shows up for about ten minutes most evenings, if the humidity's right.
Bobby Kalman is a Charleston-based photographer working mostly at the edges of the day — early water, late bridges, the marsh right as the tide turns. Most of the work happens outdoors, on foot, with whatever light shows up.
